My new chair

I got this new chair so that I can sit with Mommy and Daddy up at the counter and eat dinner with them. pretty cool huh!! It spins and locks to the side so that mommy can feed me.

A visit from Grandma and Grandpa Sylliaasen

Last weekend my Grandma and Grandpa Sylliaasen came to visit me. Grandpa and I were cheering for Purdue. Grandma and I were cheering for Nebraska. Well, I'm not sure if Grandma was really cheering for Nebraska. :) Check out the new toy I got. It has tags all over it. Tags are my favorite - I love to put them in my mouth!! Grandpa told me a funny joke!!

6 month doctor appointment

On Wednesday Ocobter 14, 2009 Mommy and Daddy took me to my 6 month doctor appointment. Here I am waiting for the doctor to come in. There are butterflies, trees and bees on the walls in this room. I told daddy not to be afriad of the bees, they are not real. I weighed in at 13 pounds, 12 ounces. I am in the 10th percentile on the growth chart for weight, 15th percentile for height and 25th percentile for size of head. The doctor says I am a little peanut. I got a roto virus vaccination in my mouth and four shots which included the flu vaccination. I cried really loud for about a minute, but then I was better. I got four cool crayon bandaids.

I am 6 months old today!!!!

This morning I got all dressed up for a jog. I am sitting up by myself . . . well, for a little while. When I fall over I get really upset!!! I got this new toy today for my 6 month birthday!! And I got another nasty cold too. I've been coughing, sneezing snot, and just plain miserable.

Playing at daycare.

The YWCA gave mommy and daddy a CD of pictures of me at daycare. Check out all the stuff I do there . . . playing in the exersaucer . . stretching after my nap . . swinging in the swing . . . playing in daycare's ocean . . . playing with these hangy down toys . . . all that playing makes me tired, so I take lots of naps at daycare too.

A case of the pink eye

Mommy kept digging out sleepy boogers from my right eye yesterday, and this morning I woke up with my eye swollen, red, and matted shut. We went to the doctor and now I have to put drops in my eye 3 times a day. Oooohhhh no - pink eye!! It doesn't look too bad in this picture, but you should have seen it before mommy and daddy got all the gunk out!!! I'll just wear these sunglasses when I go out in public to cover it up!! :)

Dinner Time

Mommy started feeding me rice cereal a couple of weeks ago. I haven't really cared too much for that stuff, even when she mixed a little bit of applesauce in with it. But today I polished off the whole bowl mommy made. I'm a big girl now!!

I rolled over for the first time today!!!

Mom truely did photo the very first time that I rolled over!! Daddy told her to get the camera, but mommy hesitated 'cause she said my outfit didn't match - light pink shirt, dark pink pants, green bib, and purple socks. Good thing she listened to daddy this time. And 5 minutes later, I did it again!! Pretty soon I'll be running around this place. my arm is holding me back. . . I am getting closer . . . I DID IT!!!!

A visit from the Zimmermans

Last weekend daddy & mommy's friends, the Zimmerman's (Ryan, Jess, Sammy, Dylan and Charlie) came to visit us. This is Jess holding me . . . Charlie played with me inside my ocean . . . We went to the Kirby Science Discovery Center at the Washington Pavilion. It was a lot of fun. Here I am in a space suit!!

My first time with a baby-sitter

Last night mommy and daddy left me with a baby-sitter for the first time. Christina works at my daycare so she already knows me, knows what I like, and knows how to take care of me. Mommy and Daddy went to Bracco's for dinner and then to a movie - The Hangover. They said it was pretty funny. Christina and I had a good time playing together and I was totally fine while they were gone.

Things I've been eating

At my 4 month dr appointment they said it would be ok for me to start eating some rice cereal in my bottle. Mommy and Daddy have been putting 1 tsp of rice cereal in my bottle before I go to bed at night. But there are a few other things I have been eating lately too . . . . . I've also been eating some bugs . . . I've been eating fish . . . . . a few books . . . and a little BEEF . . . it's what's for dinner

4 month doctor appointment

On Thursday, April 13th, I had my 4 month doctor appointment. Here I am waiting for the doctor to check me out. They have fun cartoons on the walls!! This is the PA checking my breathing and all kinds of stuff. She said that I have petite feet, long eye lashes, and that I am very strong!! I weighed 11 pounds, 11 ounces. I got 2 shots, one in each leg. I cried really loud!! See my ouchie? I got crayon bandaids.
